RHP Brian Bruney will likely be lost for the season as he tore a ligament in his right foot, which is expected to require surgery. Bruney had slipped and fell while covering first Tuesday. Surgery was recommended by doctors in New York after reviewing an MRI. Bruney had dedicated himself to losing weight in the offseason and was 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in nine games this year. His absence would be a blow to the Yankees bullpen, which has had plenty of work due to short stints by starters. "It's a big loss," Yankees manager Joe Girardi told reporters. "He'd been pitching great for us."
I will miss your 1.59 ERA in 9 starts

Anyone think Bruney's injury will effect Joba's possible move to the rotation?

Unless the Yanks go through that memorable skit last year of using pitchers left and right, that might drive the decision for Chamberlain to be moved to SP.
