Where do I need to improve (WHIR)?

Postby Santana4Cy » Sat Apr 26, 2008 5:20 am

It's a 12 team, 5x5 roto league. I'm currently sitting in 2nd place, 5 points behind the leader. It has pretty much just been me and him swapping the 1st and 2nd spots all year, but I think I can improve my team, and take over that #1 spot for good.

Runs: 6 points [153; 19 behind the lead]
Home Runs: 12 points [45; 3 in front of 2nd]
RBI: 11 points [164; 3 behind the lead]
Stolen Bases: 3 points [12; 19 behind the lead]
Average: 5.5 points [.270; .030 behind the lead]
Wins: 8 points [14; 5 behind the lead]
Saves: 11 points [22; 3 behind the lead]
Strikeouts: 11 points [193; 2 behind the lead]
ERA: 10 points [3.58; .96 behind the lead]
WHIP: 9 points [1.28; .19 behind the lead]

A guy in my league has Carl Crawford on the block, and is looking for home runs and RBI. What type of package could I put together to try to grab him? Here's his roster:

C: Geovany Soto, Russell Martin, Ramon Hernandez
1B: Travis Hafner, Jason Giambi, Daric Barton
2B: Chone Figgins
3B: Kevin Youkilis
SS: Edgar Renteria
CI: Adrian Beltre
MI: Dan Uggla
OF: Carl Crawford, Jacoby Ellsbury, Curtis Granderson, Garret Anderson, Jack Cust
U: Sean Casey, Bobby Crosby
BN: Josh Fields, Andy LaRoche

SP: Dan Haren, Aaron Harang, Ubaldo Jimenez, Gil Meche, Jon Lester, Tim Hudson, Homer Bailey
RP: Bobby Jenks, Joaquin Benoit, Hideki Okajima, Jose Valverde

Thanks for the help on mine.

I think you have enough power numbers to give up Tex to get Crawford. Crawford will help you in pretty much all 5 cats.

agreee with above reply...dange Tex and see if you can get Crawford. He would definately put you over the top.

is maybin back up with the Marlins? Gathright while not hitting for a very high avg. is swiping some bases and could help you pick up a few pts if you can handle the slight avg hit.
