I had both he and Soto on my team to start the season, I opted for more upside of Soto, but Molina is consistent. Dropped Molina for Conor Jackson, so far has been a good add for me!

I'm in a 16 team 5x5 equivalent points league in the East Coast where we start 1 catcher and he fell to me late. I was the last person to own a catcher. He came after Navarro, Ruiz, Soto, Towles, Hernandez, Y.Molina, Laird/Salty, and probably some other craziness I can't remember.
It's a competitive league where everyone generally punts their catcher after the first 5 or 6, but they know their stuff for the most part. I'm guessing his spring minor injuries (can't remember what they were) scared some people.
I took him with the very last pick in our draft. It wasn't some great plan to get him- I always take the best catcher left in the final round. Their averages always stink, and they bat too low in the order for predictible RBI or run production. The best you can ask for is some power, which he's given us so far this season.
I dropped Soto right after my draft when I realized Molina was unowned. I dropped Soto thinking that Molina was more of a sure thing. For a while there, I was beating myself for having done that, but now I feel ok about it. :p
Posada's on my DL but with Bengie in my lineup, I'm not so sure I want Jorge to recover.
On a side note, has anyone ever actually witnessed Molina running the bases? I'm sure most people know he's slow, but until I actually saw him, I didn't know he was THAT slow. He was basically waddling around the bases.
"Oh, that Lankford and McGee, the trio of 'em. They're a one-man wrecking crew."
