Evan Longoria dropped & cleared waivers. Pick him up? WHIR!

Young up and comer Evan Longoria was dropped when he was cold, and has now cleared waivers. Is his talent worth picking up?? I really don't have anyone too dropable, maybe Sheffield, K. Johnson or Swisher? Or are they not worth the gamble on someone unproven?

I would drop Kelly Johnson for Longoria in a heartbeat.

Agreed, I like Johnson but Longoria should make an immediate impact. Predictions for him are high but they're also legit. This kids upside is immense.

If you are limited in the number of moves you can make, I'd leave him on the wire. If you have unlimited moves, I'd drop K. Johnson for him. Sheffield is also an option so you don't have to worry about when he will play and when he won't although I think he can still produce when he plays.

I agree, ship Johnson for Evan. His upside is tremendous and you'll just be stashing him till something good (or bad) happens.

must be a nice league with Longo as a FA.

I would drop Sheffield - you have Magglio as a DH and he will perform better after slumping last season. Sheffield is on the clear downside of his career.
I like Kelly Johnson- he is not a top performer but you know what your getting. I added him in a league.
