I was dozing off last night, and Baseball Tonight was discussing the Phillies game. They mentioned Howard sat yesterday, and then I thought I heard them say that Manuel planned on sitting Howard for tonight (Friday), as well. Did I hear this correctly? I just want to know whether or not I should sit him tonight...

The way he has been hitting I mean missing everything, it sure looks like he is on vacation. I think we have a new K king this year.

Man, if somewhere alnogthe line utley picks up 1B elegibility too, he'll become the most valuable player by miles. 2 position eligibility, a absolute above 330 aerage, and good power. He's a beast.

Ryan Howard is not playing tonight either. Anyone have any info as to why this is?

Similar to the end of last season, they are not playing him so that he doesn't reach 200+ strikeouts. He's got 34 in 85 AB's. That's a pace of near 250 for the season.
