Aren't no-hitters pretty overrated?
There's been 255 of them, I think. Triple plays happen more often, but not that much more. Under 700. Only 13 unassisted triple plays.
One might say that no-hitters are more impressive because they require a lengthy, great performance.
But really, is that true? Even if Floyd did pitch a no-hitter yesterday, he only struck out four. He put four men on base due to walk. The rest was defense and a whole lot of luck.
Pretty much like a triple play. But you'll never see them stop the game and jump all over the infielder who makes an unassisted one.
I'm impressed by perfect games. By 15-strikeout games. No-hitters? No big deal.

What would you set the over/under on number of pitches needed for a Daniel Cabrera no hitter?
Well he through a 3-hitter tonight on.....115 pitches. Pretty efficient!

my prediction, the obvious one:
Jake Peavy against the giants at Petco
im going to say Webb but at Petco. big park and crappy hitting team.
but you know its going to be some slightly better than mederocre guy.
hell my dark horse is Adam Wainwright

Props to Jon Lester. Though Kansas City doesn't have the most stacked lineup, they surely don't have the worst. He looked really good tonight.

Props to
RyanK for the Sig.
