Do I drop Greinke??

Postby Mr. Baseball » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:39 am

If I am not going to use him, should I drop him for Chris Carpenter to stash on the DL...I have Lackey and Howie Kendrick there right now and will need to drop someone soon anyhow to activate them...just trying to act now in hopes that Carp will help me in the playoffs

Wrong forum and no - Greinke is probably better than Carpenter if he came back anyway. Surely you have a worse pitcher than Greinke in your staff.

yeah. no way. Carp hasn't pitched in almost a year. He's not going to be very useful this season when he comes back . On top of that, given that Lackey's issues were with his arm, I don't know if I'd trust him not to hit the DL again at some point this season.

There's gotta be a worse pitcher on your team than Grienke.

Definitley keep Greinke this year, he's producing like a poor man's Roy Holladay.

Greinke is a stud in the making, wouldn't drop him for an uncertain Carpenter at this point.

I think right now, Roy Holliday is the poor man's Greinke. Yes keep him.

Another strong performance tonight. It's too bad KC couldn't score for him. He is definitely a keeper, and I also love that you can put him as "RP" which is valuable for my league.

You're going to drop a guy that has a 1.25 era and 3 wins after 5 starts? This is a guy that I've never heard one professional analyst say is a fluke.
Carpenter is not going to help you this year, and if anything I'd drop Kendrick as he's the epitome of an overhyped player.

Why aren't you going to use him?

Ya, what kind of league doesn't have a use for Greinke?
