wait a minute guys, what if my guy hits 3 HR in the first game but only 1 HR in the second game. does that count as 2 games played?

No - it counts as four games played: one per HR.

Obviously a trick question. It only counts as 1 game; the 3HR game doesn't exist.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
