I don't think he's eligible at Catcher on Yahoo just yet....

Is he expected to get any action behind the plate in Pitt this year? If so, wouldn't he be a great late Round steal???? The guy hit 14HR after the break last year!!! I'm wondering if he'll even get drafted at all actually...

Do not draft him. The Pirates just signed R.Simon to play 1B, and R.Mondesi to play OF with J.Bay and T.Redman. The only way that Wilson will get over 100AB's is if Kendall, Simon, Mondesi, Bay, or, Redman go down with an injury.

So he's not gonna get a ton of AB's, but he's prob a good pickup if there's injuries in Pitt you're saying? I just hate drafting a Catcher early and he was the kind of guy I figured I'd be able to draft last Round....

I agree with Baseball Genius on this one, he'll certainly get well over 100 AB's, other than Kendall, none of the others are that good, and it's pretty likely at least one of them will get injured or traded.

And, yes he is C eligible on Yahoo

assuming he's still on the table, do you draft him in the last round? (important note: my league allows you to keep one player drafted between Rounds 16-19, and one player drafted Rounds 20-24)

I'm wondering if he's going to become a decent hitter or if he's the kind of guy you just grab out of the free agent pool if he gets hot.... in which case he could be a pretty solid C compared to what's out there

i think wilson will see somewhere around 400 AB's this year. he will start at 1B vs LHP, spell Mondesi in RF, and will give Kendall a rest at C too. he's definitely not as attractive a pick as he was before those two signings though.

He's a good a pick as any in the last round, I'd think.

He could put up good numbers in the future if given a chance, and solid numbers at catcher are always very useful.
