sorry if my post was confusing. i wasnt looking for trade advice, just letting the OP know that im looking into trading for him and that his low BA isn't likely to change. and the dating quote is a seinfeld joke

He's a career .280+ - I imagine it will change fairly significantly for the better - in time...
i feel that his '06 avg was a bit of a fluke and '07 will be closer what to expect from now on. he has a big uppercut swing, causing lots of swings and misses. hard to keep a high avg with that. but maybe i'm wrong. he has 140 games to go before we know for sure

There was a pretty large discussion last year on him being unable to maintain a high AVG given his K rate. He'll likely never see .300 again, but I'd take .270 if he'd start hitting homers...

Was injured and only had 77 April AB, bat .221, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 23 BB, 28 K Got 40 AB in May and hit 6 HR, but bat .225, 10 BB, 16 K, drove in 17 Tore it off in June/July.
