I know that most people in a snake draft hate having the number 1 pick. So what are your opinions on the best pick to have in a snake draft? I'm thinking like 3,4, or 5 would be pretty good.

Really? I'd love to have #1 and get A-Rod, even if it is awkward sometimes having back-to-back picks.
I've got the top 12 or so ranked in tiers, so If I don't get 1 or 2, Pujols being 2 obv, I'd like to be at the end of one of my tiers.
What I mean is:
I have
1 A Rod
2 Pujols
Then in the next tier:
3 Soriano
4 Vlad
5 Beltran
6 Prior
Next..
7 Helton
8 Manny
9 Bonds
Then
10 Pedro
11 Sheff
12 Schilling.
So, I'd rather have the 6th pick than 3rd to 5th, as I'd say they're pretty interchangeable in value. Likewise, I don't think there's much between 7-9 or between 10-12, so I'd go for 9 or 12.

I agree, though if I had to choose I would say 1st or last.
Because, it is very nice to be able to pick 2 players in a row. You can always pick a player you like, plus a player you feel slipped too far. Or a player you know won't be around your next pick, plus a pitcher/hitter because you need another one of them.
The drawback is that in a 10-team draft, you have to wait 17 picks for your next picks after the first round.
I don't see how anyone can not like the first pick, ARod is a great start to any fantasy team

lol, yeah I don't get the 7th pick theory. I mean yeah, you get a top 7 pick. But 2nd pick gets a top 2 gy, 3rd pick gets a top 3 guy....etc. And last pick(in a 10-teamer for example) gets 2 of the top 11 guys!
