I know he isn't a "sexy" name, but if you haven't already, you should take a look at Kotchman this season. His BA has always been good, but it looks like he is now adding the power. He hit his 6th HR earlier today. Maybe this is the year he breaks out.

Hmmm... I'll be very interested in any replies to this post since I have Kotchman stashed on my bench.

He's on my bench as well. Anyone who watches the Angels every day care to chime in? Is it a temporary surge, or does it seem like more consistent power is forthcoming?

He's on my waiver wire and I'm giving him a serious look. Do you think he would be decent insurance against Hafner, assuming Hafner keeps performing at his current

rate?

I say yes, Kotchman is no Fluke. He is batting in a good lineup and he has always been a good hitter, the problem with him is the injuries. If he can put that pass him, then he is a good pick up. Too bad I don't have a spot for him. I have the same Hafner problem.

I picked him up last year and he was great until he got hurt. I drafted him late this year, and he's really paid big dividends. Hope he keeps it up, but at the first sign of slippage I might sell high.

Kotchman gt hit in the head last year. He was hitting extremely well before that. He is also hitting lefties much better this year. I believe he has hit two homers off lefties so far. He hit one the other night in Boston. He was a very good prospect coming up. Hits in front of Hunter who hits behind Vlad. He'll see good pitches. I can see .290-90-27 -2 I can live with that.
