I have yet to see it from somplace i trust...even rotoworld puts up bad info from time to time. this is a big deal and would probably be on the major sports outlets...no? Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle, is scheduled to take batting practice today in Clearwater, Fla. Rollins is eligible to be activated from the DL on May 5, when the Phils will be in Arizona.

I don't think he'd be taking batting practice on a broken ankle and you wouldn't think the Philly media would be the last to know about something like Rollins having a broken ankle, so it appears it was just an untrue rumor.

I live in Philadelphia and listen to the big sports radio channels here. No one's mentioned a broken ankle on the radio waves nor on the Comcast SportsNet channel here.

This is false. I too live in the Philly area and they are reporting it is a broken ankle most likely caused by pinch hitting too early. Check out AM 610 WIP for updates.

I just listened to WIP for about an hour, and they made no mention of J-Roll having a broken ankle. During their update, they said he's rehabbing at Clearwater, and that's it. Nothing about a broken ankle, at least while I was listening. Anyone who's sick enough to listen to WIP online for fantasy's sake (like me), they have an online stream.

WIP is no place to check for facts. Rumors and innuendo are more their style.
