middle of pack. need momentum to gain position.

Postby MayDay-Malone » Wed Apr 23, 2008 6:00 pm

I am in 7th place in a 12 team Yahoo keeper league. The league gives points for runs, hr, rbi, sb and obp. Pitchers are rated on ip, w, sv, k, era and whip. Everyday my team seems to break even resulting in no position gain/ loss. Please help me!

A.J. Pierzynski- (catcher)
Ryan Howard- (1st base)
Dustin Pedroia- (2nd base)
Adrian Beltre- (3rd base)
Rafael Furcal- (shortstop)
Nick Swisher- (1st/OF)
Bobby Abreu- (OF)
Jermaine Dye- (OF)
Kevin Youkilis- (1st/3rd)
Tadahito Iguchi- (2nd base)
Ryan Garko- (1st base)
Xavier Nady- (OF)
Adam LaRoche- (1st base)
David Eckstein- (shortstop)

Greg Maddux- (SP)
John Smoltz- (SP)
Joba Chamberlain- (RP)
Brian Fuentes- (RP)
Javier Vazquez- (SP)
Scott Baker- (SP)
Carlos Marmol- (RP)
A.J. Burnett- (SP)
Ryan Dempster- (SP)

I am planning on getting rid of Adam LaRoche and Tadahito Iguchi because of their dismal starts. I think my team is okay, but has a few holes. I'd like some help to make my team better.

Well you got no saves all of your relief pitchers are set up guys. Chamberlain will start but it'll b a while and he'll prolly get sent down first to build arm strength. Its hard to believe you cant do better than what you have in the OF on the waiver wire too. Youkilis has been really hot lately and due to Lowells injury is hitting in a prime spot(5th) as opposed to 2nd. Be careful of AJ too as hes gotta come back to reality soon.

Go Sox.

Fuentes just became Rockies closer last night, so don't drop him, but you certainly have to drop the other two set up guys for real closers. Marmol came into to save a blown save by Wood last night I think, and Wood ended up with a W. So that is unusual. Good luck.

PLease look at my team on this page, and see if you have any ideas. I am in the middle too, but that is mainly because of four guys missing in action so far-- howard, cano, Tulo, and Rollins(DL)
