Headlines Preseason Outlook
Red Sox 2B Dustin Pedroia extended his hitting streak to 11 games Monday against the Angels with his first four-hit game of the season. He doubled three times and singled once, scoring a run and driving in one. He's batting .477 (21-for-44) during the streak.
(Updated 04/22/2008).
Pedroia raised his season average to .364 with the streak and is looking every bit the player who hit .317 as a rookie last year. He's worth using in all Fantasy formats right now, particularly Head-to-Head leagues that count doubles, walks and strikeouts, and he might even have more power potential than his one home run would indicate.
Right now, among 2B's, he ranks...
1st in AVG
6th in Runs
8th in RBIs
8th in SBs
15th in HRs
8th in BBs
(although I'm not sure how many ppl he ties with at each one)
Sure, it's early, but he did hit .317 last year so it's not coming out of nowhere.
