C: I like Phillips and I think he can hit, except if Piazza stays selfish, he'll hardly play any catcher. I would keep Phillips but maybe add a veteran for your bench if one sticks on the waiver wire. C
1B: Huff is very good and has established himself as a great hitter. He was a nice pickup. However, you do need a backup. It's first base, lots of injuries at this position.B-
2B: Soriano is heads and shoulders above any other second baseman, including Bret Boone, for a fantasy league. Great job picking him up. A
3B: I picked up Blalock real late in my league and I think he might have been my best pick. He hit .300 with 29 homeruns last year, and he should only improve. B
SS: Tejada is a stud, and he'll probably have a nice year in Baltimore. A-
OF: Giles is very underrated and a star, but after him your outfield is very lacking. Gonzalez can hit 40 homers if he's healthy and happy but that's a big question mark. Kearns plays on a bad Reds team and didn't break out like many thought he would last year. I would recommend a trade or a waiver wire pickup here. C-
Util: Before Pudge was signed, Young was the only worthwhile fantasy player in Detroit. He might hit a little better now that Rodriguez is in the lineup. [b]C+
Bench: Sanchez and Byrd are good for speed but not too much else. Byrd has upside though. C-
SP: Johnson scares me because of last year. If he returns to form, you got yourself maybe the best pitcher in the game. He'll probably have a good season, but I don't think he'll be as good as he once was. Vazquez is great and hopefully he handles the Yankee pressure well. Brown is a steal if he can just stay healthy. Ponson and Zambrano are great arms who are underrated fantasy-wise. Nice reliable pitchers. Contreras should win some games with that Yankee lineup hitting in front of him. If these players all perform above expectations and stay healthy, this is a B to B+ staff. B-
RP: Percival and Isringhausen are two pretty dominating closers. Along with Rhodes and Looper, you should have no trouble in the saves department. B+
Your team looks nice, but it has some holes and some question marks, like most other teams. Your outfield needs work, and you might wanna use Arthur Rhodes as trade bait to teams who sorely need a closer. Also, work on improving your offensive bench. You can afford to drop someone like Contreras to pick up a reliable hitter off the waiver wire. Overall, you should compete in your league, but you don't have enough consistency throughout your team to win.
