I was just going to say that.
Perfect example of Shields today. Walked one, only K'ed 7, but got hitters to hit the ball right to defenders
As a DRay Fan, do you think this is what we'll see more of than not for the rest of the year?
Definetly. As long as the defense plays well he will continue to put up solid numbers. He won't be that 9 K a game guy, but you will see bewteen 5-7 a game, a low whip, and a decent ERA
Wow, what a performance he had today! I didn't expect a performance this good against the Red Sox. He just gave my team a lift to win a few more pitching categories.
I started Shields last week because he was a two start guy...but I am not rolling him out against the RedSox again this week. Back to back starts against BoSox is not going to have happy ending. If you are thinking of dealing Shields I would do it now opposed to wait and see on next start. I am not saying he gets knocked out in 4th inning, but i would not expect repeat performance and stock is REALLY high on him now. Ortiz was a DNP

You really think Ortiz would have changed anything. Shields was dealing yesterday, no one could have hit off of him. He may not have another CGSO against the Sox, but he is still going to be very solid.
