While i didn't heavily draft many Brewers, I do have a few that have me wondering what to expect for the season.
I wish I had Prince, but i have Braun and I'm wondering if he's in for a sophomore jinx?
What will become of the 2008 Brew Crew?
Prince is money, but I think my fears about Braun having a soph slump are bound to come true - the extent is the only true question. I'd still like to own Weeks as well, and Hall looks poised for a pretty nice season as well (though his BA could get better).
Sadly, I think 2nd place in the NL Central with a SHOT at the wild card is about as well as the Crew can do this year...
Just a slow start, they had a lot of games on the road in bad weather to start the year and they have mostly played against quality pitching/teams. The most obvious team to compare them to is the Cubs who have played a joke of a schedule so far.
The Brewers are a decent team, but let's face it - they played far over their heads most of last season, and expecting them to repeat that at this stage is probably expecting too much.
I see them competing all season in their division, and I think it'll come down to Milwaukee and Chicago in September. I doubt either the Brew or the Cubs runs away with the Central. I don't give much chance to the Cards, Reds, Astros or Pirates.
See I think they played under their heads last year, they were a better team than the record suggests the pitching and defense just absolutely collapsed. Yeah Fielder and Braun might not repeat things but they had far more players underachieve than overachieve last year.

I think it was more of a byproduct of the road weather as well. The Brewers encountered rainy conditions in Chicago and in New York, but they've been OK at home so far. I also see it as a collective slump for the Brew Crew bats so far.
