This is a guy that I am really high on and have been since last September. I just think that he is an exceptional pitcher who is going to win around 16 games this year with a 3.80 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 180 Ks. In leagues that count Quality Starts, this guy will be a machine.
I am currently running around and buying him low. Usually teams have been willing to part with him for a subpar closer or decent outfielder.
I ended up drafting him in nearly every league of mine. I felt the value was way too great for where he was getting drafted.
So teams are selling low on him? He's got an ERA under 3, about 7k per 9, a whip under 1.10, and has had a QS in each outing. I can't imagine how you were able to buy low on him.
I really haven't had too many problems getting him off of other teams. I just traded Encarnacion for him to a team that needed a 3B (Lowell on DL). I drafted him in 2 leagues.
Everyone has been captivated by Cueto, Volquez and the other big names that Wainwright has fallen in value, even though he looks to be a stud. That has been my experience lately.
I have had offers for him and the offers have been pretty ridiculous. Lowballers just suck.
I've been high on him since he replaced Izzy at the end of '06.
I have him on every team this year. In my dynasty that drafted last year, he was taken one pick ahead of where I was going to take him. Luckily he was dropped halfway through last year, so I was able to pick him up, keep him on the bench for a few starts, and then reap the benefits of that 2nd half tear.

Wainright was very good from June on last year. I drafted him in 2 leagues, and fully expect him to anchor my rotation along with J Beckett. He is underrated imo, and I took advantage of that during my drafts.
