Im pretty convinced he's injured and the Sox may be hiding it..Elite MR they use all the time and he has not pitched in a game in a week straight..It seems fishy they will not pitch him..It's all the same characters over the last week MR wise Aardsma, Lopez, Delcarmen who have all had 4 appearances over the last week..But nothing for Okajima..Interesting..DL Bound?

They're not hiding anything. The NESN guys today were talking about the fact that Okajima has a sore neck.

hmm, I hadn't thought of that, but I doubt that's the case. The Red Sox past few games have either been blowouts or improbable comebacks late in the game. In the case of the former, there's no need to use your elite relievers, in the case of the latter, the lead was taken so late that the ball went straight to Papelbon.

The Sox are very concerned with Okajima's use. I know that last year Gagne was brought in in an effort to take some of the load off of Oki, though it didn't work out that way. My guess is that Francon is delighted at this oppurtunity to keep his arm fresh.
