Why is this guy getting trashed this year. I just picked him up VERY late in a draft and I think he could be the steal of the draft. Sure I know the guy struggled in Oakland but you cant discount what he did in Cinci with no help in that lineup. Now he gets put into a lineup with vlad / glaus/ anderson, in a hitters park? Ok enough

.
Anyone else think he can hit .300/30 again getting out of that canyon of a ball park in OAK?

i wouldnt count on him hitting 30 Hr. i think 25 is a good bet though. he is good option as a 3rd Of based on how late you will get him in the draft. i dont really want him, but he isnt a bad option if you want to wait late to fill your OF

You, in so many words, hit it on the head. Jose racked up good numbers for half of a season in a hitter’s ballpark. He is another example of an over-hyped player. You must be playing against experienced owners in your league for him to go that late. Be wary.
Aaron Boone racked up big numbers in that park only to do nothing in Yankee Stadium.

Well yankee stadium its not a pitcher´s paradise either. I think boone demise was related to some other stuff.
Gullen wasnt that bad for Oakland and i think he wouldve been better had he not gotten hurt. I think in Anaheim he´ll put up good numbers. .285 28 hr 90 rbi´s. A very good third outfielder

lesgrant- dye also put up phenom numbers in KC before he came to oakland and fizzled (yes i know he was injured but still). You cant ignore what he did in cinci with a much inferior lineup than what was in cinci with the injuries to dunn and kearns. And besides disneyland is a much more favorable park than the house that Al Davis built. He still hit 8 homers in 45 games in OAK which if my math is correct would translate to 28 homers in OAK putting him well over 30 in anaheim.
DONT IGNORE THIS GUY PEOPLE.

throw away the "cinci is a hitters park" theory, because he actually had better away stats as a red then at home as a red last year. i wish i knew how to dig up his home/away splits for cinci only, but i remember seeing this right before he was traded
