If Nen goes down.....Who closes? F-Rod or Herges?

Anybody have any ideas on this? I don't think Nen is a very good "comeback" candidate from the sounds of things and I'm trying to figure out who I might pick up out of the SF bullpen, as insurance.....

im pretty sure that it will be herges. if you do a search for herges here on the forum there was a discussion about this topic a few weeks ago

Giants manager Felipe Alou hinted that Matt Herges, not Felix Rodriguez, could be the top candidate to close if Robb Nen is unable to come back from his most recent shoulder surgery.

"We are very sure that Robb is going to be healthy, but I believe the way Herges threw in the playoffs and the way he pitched last year, he can close games," Alou said. "I said last year (Tim) Worrell could close games for me, and he did. I believe Herges could close games for me." The Giants don't have insurance on Nen's contract, so they probably won't be able to go out and acquire a closer if he suffers a major setback. That makes both Herges and Rodriguez sleepers.
