Braden had a sweet half-year last year in AAA, with a 17 strike out game a highlight, does he have the goods to be a good MLB pitcher?

I posted a thread on him last year in Leftovers and got a very mixed response.

Someone said he is a screwballer, and that he'll be toast in the bigs. True or false?

I would have thought someone with a 10.31 career minors K/9, and 1.17 WHIP would at least have a shot at being respectable.

Any thoughts?

I don't know a ton about him, but Pecota is relatively positive, all things considered. I am tracking him closely - anytime you get a guy who has that type of K rate, he is worth a roster spot in deep leagues when called up.

Apr 21 LHP Dallas Braden is the most likely candidate to be recalled Tuesday to take Keith Foulke's roster spot. Braden, who spent five stints with Oakland last year, has made four appearances, three starts, at Triple-A Sacramento and has a 2.50 ERA.
