It's fine. I still have John Lackey that I have to bring up pretty soon. I felt that Ollie was my weakest SP, so I had to give it a shot with this guy. Like what I did with Gallardo last year and it paid off.

Btw, the next weakest Sp I could have dropped was Greinke, but his playing too good to be dropped.

no worries. people are going to drop good players for scherzer. since the people who know about him and were responsible enough to hang on to their waiver priority generally arent going to have bad players this far into the season.

I'm actually a bit disappointed that he's getting a start already. They're going to have to be careful with him.

That said, if he pitches well, he will stay in the rotation. He just may be on a tight pitch/innings count.

People, people, people. Randy cannot last. There will be an open spot in the rotation. They're preparing Max for that by getting him some starts now.

Ok, let's say Scherzer does well in his outings as a SP, and then Dougie Davis comes back into the picture, I mean no disrespect to Doug and admire what he's gone through HOWEVER, if Scherzer does his thing, you really think Davis who is a very 4.60 ERA, 1.5 Whip, 9 Win type guy will get in the way of a super stud..I really don't know about that..

Even if randy does stay somewhat healthy i dont think he will be ready to go every 5th day with that back. Leaving the door open for Max to spot him on days he cant go. Also would you consider someone like Saunders(5-0, will eventually come back to reality maybe?) droppable for the Max?

Per the D-Backs website, it sounds like he's taking Gonzalez's spot in the rotation...but it's up in the air when Davis comes back (return TBA).
