Im not a big Lind fan..I rode him last year when the Jays gave him a Full Time Gig in the 1st half, and he did nada for my team..In 73 Games in the 1st half (250 AB's) he batted .230 and had very little power,Runs or RBI's. Minor League ball is one thing, but he failed pretty bad when the Jays gave him plenty of opportunity

Lind hit .238 and had 11 HR's in 290 AB's at the age of 23. Alex Gordon hit .246 and had 15 HR's in 543 AB's also at the age of 23 and most people think he is a budding superstar. I don't think you can give up on Lind quite yet.

Nice comparison. I just don't think Lind was quite ready for the bigs last year. This time around should be more telling of his future prospects in the majors. He certainly has proven all he can in Syracuse.

He slept on his neck wrong, and has a stiff neck for about 3 days. I predict he's up by the end of the week.

Definitely on my watch list. Don't discount coveted prospects. If you remember, Buchholz wasn't as highly regarded as the other pitching prospects that were being called up last year, but he outperformed the lot of them.

Absolute thanks to soty for the sig.

His swing was supposedly a bit off for almost the entirety of the '07 season. But according to the Jays, he's gotten his swing back to where it was before. He has a 1.046 OPS in 54 AB, so maybe they aren't lying.
He played today in AAA, and got 2 hits, so I would hope he's up with Toronto within days. They can't keep playing Inglett and Scutaro in the starting lineup and expecting to win any games. Lind will probably get the full starting job in LF immediately.

It's ridiculous to write Lind off based on his at bats in the majors last year. Give the guy a chance.
I expect a nice year from him and he should be a good player in Toronto for years.
