What are you Polanco owners doing?

Postby kingmike74 » Sun Apr 20, 2008 4:47 pm

I am forced to start Polanco or drop him for the likes of Ellis, DeRosa, Hudson, etc.

Just wondering what other polanco owners are doing with him.

I swung Cano on one of my teams that I own him. In the other, I don't really have any room to drop anyone for a fill in 2B, so I'm just holding onto him hoping he can get healthy and turn it around. :-S

I go to bed at night with my finges crossed for him, but this is coming from a Soriano, Bedard owner also.

Just sticking with him. A few more horrible weeks and it might be time to make a change, but I think he'll be fine. When that lineup starts hitting, his stats will get better.

Probably looking at the calendar and realizing its only April 20 and his BABIP is only .160 with a really high walk rate and thinking he'll be fine.

We should get some big news in the next couple of days about his status (and what's been going on this season).

He'll get the day off again tomorrow, as he's back in Detroit (with the team in TO), getting his back looked at. Numbness in his left leg apparently. Pretty scary stuff really. Could definitely have an effect on his stats so far this season.

If it's something easy to take care of, he'll be back to his old form in no time. If it's a herniated disk or something, he could be shut down (or just play off and on) for a while.

It is early so it's small sample size, but I would probably rather have Hudson instead anyway. There's not a big difference between that group of 2B.

The only reasons I drafted and I am hanging with Polanco is that I need a 300+ avg. Hudson is only a 280 or so guy but he could make a nice 2B is Polanco goes down.

I picked him up off of waivers, so apparently at least someone felt he was droppable. He'll sit on my bench for awhile.
