I like Olsen alot this year...his K rate his down from 2 years ago, but he's had 4 good starts in a row now, and definitely has the stuff to succeed.
I read an article in a Florida paper talking about how everyone said he's matured a ton, and is constantly working to become a front line starter now. His control seems better than it was looking at the stats, which is the big key with him.
I don't think he's a slam dunk or anything to be a top 3 starter, but he's definitely worth a roster spot, if nothing else than to spot start.

I have been on the edge since the beginning of the season......in one league I am waiting for Kendrick to come off the DL and dropping Kelly Johnson (but Johnson has been doing well) for either Olsen, Wolf, Kuroda, Jurrjens, Sonnanstine, etc. After today's outings it is between Olsen and Wolf. I have missed out on Cliff Lee, E. Santana and Wandy Rodriguez do to this injury with Kendrick. So lets see what others are saying.
I was all over Scott Olsen last year but I figured the poor defense would make him useless again this year so I avoided him. So far I have been wrong but lets see what happens when the weather heats up.

You have to have hope that he can because his 2006 numbers were pretty good. Like most rookie SP's however his second year saw a digression and although he has upside I don't think it is more than 4/5th starter material.

Right so hes part of the 70% of second year players that REGRESS (digress was a poor choice of words i think, but thats just me digressing), for which there is considerable evidence for floating around on this site yet no one can find
But seriously, Olsen's walk rate is really high right now and his Ks are down. Even tonight when he struck out 8 he still walked 4. At this point i'm not buying. I think hes due for a serious REGRESSION...
