Time to pickup Scherzer??

12 team keeper league, straight point, lineup change each Monday, 6 active pitchers.

My current staff, although I anticipate some changes today

P : Felix , O Perez,J Shields, Bannister, Cueto, Sonnanstine, J Weaver, Guthrie, Kennedy, Volstad

He is blistering AAA right now, and Volstad is getting by in AA., so would probably drop Volstad. Or is HE worth hanging onto also?

I think it is definitely worth it to drop Volstad for Scherzer (I just picked up Scherzer also). Scherzer has high potential (closer or starter) while Volstad is probably more of a middle of the rotation starter. Not too mention Scherzer is closer to the majors (probably). I'm also not sure how much Volstad is really going to help you this year and I don't see him as a keeper at the end of the season. Just my 2 cents.

I think it's worth dropping Volstad for Scherzer. Arizona has a THUG rotation in the front-end with Webb, Haren, and Owings but Johnson and Gonzalez, I'm not so sure about. Gonzalez is just chugging along at the back of the D-Backs rotation and Johnson (though playing decently) is rusty like an '84 Chevy.
