Hey wats up guys. This is my first post.

This is the first time I am in a real competitive fantasy baseball league. The draft is Thursday. I have been reading some stuff up on stragies and what not and I think I am a little unprepared. When it comes to picking pitchers, you can pick any kind you want. There are 7 slots to fill. There are 9 position players to be picked. From my limited knolwage of fantasy, would you say that the league is favored more towards pitching? There are 16 teams in the league. When do you think I should start picking pitching???

Well, it sorta depends on the format. Is it 5x5 or something else? Is it AL/NL mix or one or the other? When posting, it really helps to get responses by offering up your league specifics.....
That said, most leagues generally tend to favor hitting over pitching. Most owners do as well, just because it seems easier to project, it's less affected by outside circumstances and it also seems like hitters are less prone to injury, as a whole. (not counting Geoff Jenkins, Cliff Floyd and JD Drew)
16 teams is a lot! I would guess that you will have a difficult time getting your hands on any of the first or second-tier pitchers if you wait any beyond the third, maybe fourth round.....
