I agree that he may not be a star, but that guys prediction of .250-.260 is a little low IMO. He hit like .310 in 800 career minor league ABs. IMO that is likely a guy who can hit .275-.285 with good pop. I think he will have flashes of .300+ like he is currently

I decided to pull the Trigger and drop Salty and pick him up ;-D

But, my luck this season he will not get another hit until June

Iannetta isn't starting tonight - for his fantasy owners, I wouldn't read too much in it. He has started five straight games afterall, and I expect him back in the lineup tomorrow night.

Doesn't make much sense to me. However, if I were an Iannetta owner, I probably wouldn't mind much to see him sit against Peavy and the SD staff at Petco.

Looks like this thread slowed down when CI began to slump. However, he has really picked it up in June. He now has 7 HR on the year and is playing much better than Torrealba. I'm giving him a shot this week. 7 games at home and at least guaranteed start tomorrow with Torrealba still suspended.

I'm very happy that he's been getting the majority of the starts lately - he certainly deserves it and maybe Hurdle has finally figured it out. ;-D

As a Iannetta owner I'm not holding my breath that Hurdle has figured it out... I don't see many Rocky games but is the lack of Iannetta's playing time due to preference by the pitchers and/or better defense of Torreabla? He isn't the worse bat in the world but its obvious that Iannetta has the better stick.

Iannetta was the stud prospect and is a much better hitter. I have faith that he will win the job outright and produce some solid numbers. That lineup will get a big boost already when Barmes and TT come back so hopefully the Rockies management do the right thing here.
