I cant complain with Ian Kinslers start to the season, as hes scoring some runs, and stealing some bases with a pretty good avg. but i wanna see that power he flashed at the start of last season! dont get me wrong, im not expecting him to hit 30+ but id like 20, especially in that bandbox called arlington!! ya think the power will come? anyone have any diagnosis as to why Kinslers homerless so far? (other than, its only 2 weeks in)

If he hits low 20s HRs then he'll average just under 1 a week for the season. Since he's a pretty streaky hitter and many of his HRs came in bunches it's understandable that he can go on 2-week stretches without any HRs.

haha, thanks for the input! haha

April is probably the toughest month to hit well in.....cold temps...just getting back into the "groove", etc. Just my own personal thought, no real data to back that up. Anyway, as the season goes on and the weather heats up, so will alot of the struggling hitters! Don't draw conclusions on the first month of the year and really at the same time don't draw conclusions on the last month of the year either.
hot4tx is right. His power comes in bursts. Last year it came at the start, this year it hasn't. That being said, he's now the permanent leadoff hitter, and I think he's focusing on hitting to all fields for average and getting on this year. Last year he was swinging from his heels and a dead pull hitter. I'd expect fewer hr's but an increase in steals. Overall, he'll be a good value for where he was going in drafts.
20 HR power generally means long stretches wtihout many HR followed by short stretches of many HR. Those types generally have a 6 or 7 HR month, a few 3-4 HR months and a couple 1-2 HR months.
