Now this one is a little more interesting. This position battle could effect a great many fantasy teams bottom line. Shallow and deep leagues. I am talking runs and rbi opportunities. Now I will not even pretend to be from the North Side, so I leave this one to the more knowledgable "phanatics." (I mean serving a baseball a steak dinner is just a little over the top, don't ya think?) But I will say this, whenever a players seems to get on Dustys good side, they tend to see alot of AB's. Ask JT Snow. Grudzielanek is obviouslly on Dusty's good side. Walker will have to earn it.
Waker will definitely get some playing time. Grudz was great for the Cubs last year, but he was also injured. I'd expect Grudz to get 60% of the playing time, Walker 30%, Martinez 10% (plus some time at short, and maybe third). Of course, that all changes if somebody gets injured.
"It's tough," Walker said. "But what's going to make it easier is we're going to win. If that means I'm helping out the team by pinch-hitting and playing here and there, fine. Ultimately I'm going to get my at-bats. I'm not worried."
