Verlander?

Ok, I've had enough with this, no more sarcastic titles either.

I feel like it is time to start selling him in all formats, his control is pathetic. I may give him a couple more shots in May, but if he looks bad in May, I think it is time to dump his a$$

That really doesn't make much sense I'm afraid. I feel your pain and everything, but there is no use in selling low. There especially isn't any use in just dropping him.

If you need to bench him, bench him. Wait for him to pick it up. I'm assuming the waiver wire doesn't hold anything more tantalizing than a slumping Verlander.

By "dump" I meant sell low, I would never drop a talent like Verlander.

Selling low on any player really doesn't do you any good..

Of course, if you manage to get somewhat reasonable value for him, try it. But chances are, nobody is touching Justin Verlander right now, and selling low on him would be a terrible move.

I would trade for him. He's a better bounce-back candidate than CC.

I asked someone that and apparently his velocity is right where it should be and the reason he sucks turds right now is because he's going out there and trying to pitcher a no-hitter every time he's out there and he's trying to shoulder the whole load himself.

Paraphrase of course.

Actually, I hesitated about starting him at Cleveland today, I had a bad feeling about this. But I still started him anyway. That cleveland line up is pretty sick, especially in Verlander's current state. Now I realized that he is no longer a must start. You have to play match ups with him now, which shouldn't be if he is the first pitcher you drafted. You should never play matchups with your #1 pitcher. I have no idea why he is struggling, he has the talent to only require 2 or 3 runs to win a game, maybe that whole tigers team is in a funk. Ortiz and Verlander were among my first 6 picks, so I am probably more frustrated than you, even.

Was watching the game tonight and his fastballs were mainly 90-92... Not sure if anything is wrong with him but he doesn't look the same out there,
