Hudson...Zito...Mulder...Harden and Duscherrer(s)...and next is this kid Joe Blanton. Just look at this stat and wonder: 174 Ks to 26 BBs.

I'm sure everyone of you has him on your radar. I just wrote him down as a nice little nugget for 2005.

Yeah, Blanton is supposed to be better than Harden. He is definately worth mining for on draft day.

tell me about it. they are saying this kid is better than harden was at that age. yeah should be interesting to see what he does this year in the minors....how old is he? anyone know? how hard does he throw?

How is "Duchscherer" pronounced anyway? What's with all the c's and h's? Is it like "duck-shearer", ""doosh-kerrer", or "doosherer"??? Is it french, meaning the "er" on the end would be pronounced as "ay"?????? It would be muc easier if he just changed it to "Durocher" :-D

RynMan...he is 23. Went to Kentucky and was a 1st-round pick in 2002. This season will be his third in the minors....but his second full season.

Last season...188 IP, 150 H allowed and that gaudy K/BB stat.

he is a very good prospect, but with those gaudy numbers you to remember that he put up most of them in low A ball where he was quite old compared to the rest of the league.

I just checked with one of my top A's resource friends and he is riding the Duke-shur train.
