Even though Scott Hatteberg has more experience against lefties, Baker stuck with Votto as he has for the past several days. Baker informed Hatteberg that Votto would be his main man at first base going forward.
"Today was a big day for him because of that left-handed pitcher," Baker said. "It was a great day. I told you it was coming. I just had to see a little more aggressiveness and bat speed, which we've seen coming the last couple of weeks."

I'd do it before it's to late. You know what you will get with Konerko, some Hr's but,low BA and plenty of K's(if your league counts K's,he bad to own). Votto has great upside, and Konerko is on the decline.Plus Votto will steal some bases.

I would definitely not drop Konerko for Votto. I bet their averages are not that different at the end of the year and Konerko will have more HR's and RBI's. It's also not clear how many bags Votto will steal in the bigs. I'd be surprised if it's more than 8-10.
You have to have someone worse on your team than Konerko, a guy who is a lock for 35 home runs and 100 rbi. Votto is a better pickup in a dynasty or deep keeper format than Konerko, but in a one year league you would have to stick with Konerko, or drop somebody else.
straight up i think you still have to go with Butler, but in my main ESPN league Butler only qualifies at Util, so I don't have much interest in him. Votto is much more useful to me as a 1B. Depends on your league format and position eligibility.
I had Butler in two of my leagues. Yesterday I thought really hard about dropping him for Votto in one or both. I wavered and last night, Votto was gone in one. Now I'm adding Votto for Butler in the other. If anything, now I have two hype trains to ride. Butler wasn't one of my top 4 OF/Utils in either league.
I also have Bay, Fukudome in league 2 and Evan Almighty in both, so I've been having trouble sorting through all these hot starts.
Butler/Votto would be useful in either one, but I guess Votto probably has slightly more upside for this year being about 3 years older and in a better lineup/ballpark. Tough call.
Where can this guy fit in? It seems that I am stashing and using a lot of potential talent but I would like to give Votto a shot.
