well the new fantasy season is upon us and its out with the old in with the new fantasy studs

im a newbie here so let me start by telling you the league i am in has 7 pitchers starting and 10 position players made up from every position with 2 utility spots

the points system is 3 points per inning for pitching with 1 pt for Ks , 10 for wins , 10 for svs , - 5 for losses , -.5 for BB and hits allowed. - 1 for ER , -2 for HRA , - 1 for wild pitches
there are also bonuses for complete games shut outs no hitters and perfect games

the hitters are rewarded for every base, with a bonus of 5 for grandslams , 20 for the cycle and 10 if your player is involved in turning a triple play


there are 13 teams in the league so the waiver wire is very thin

your allowed 23 roster players

a few hard luck losses and a bad start for my pitchers got me low in the standings ..

any thoughts or insight on my squad would be greatly appreciated
i dont want ovbious commentary on my first few weeks, i know how that goes
id like commentary on future projections if possible

The Rockies aren't giving Manny many save opportunities, I would start by obtaining another closer. I would also look for another Starting pitcher, like Micah Ownings or something until Verlander and some of the others start to get going.

i know the baby rox are killing me with SV oppurtunities or lack there of
brett myers is one option to start as a RP except my starters are not really that good to pick up the slack , i also have BJ ryan on the DL until i activate him and i just picked up armando galaraga in a minor spot on my roster , meaning he doesnt count against my 9 pitchers
im gonna watch bronson arroyo carefully and possibly dump him to activate galaragga for two starts next week.

again this is a very deep league and micah owings is long gone , any other sleepers u guys can think of chancnes are 50 % of your sleepers are off the board
