Albert Pujols

I thought about trying to acquire Albert, but then I remembered all of the buzz around him during the spring about him being really injury prone this season. I know it's never a good idea to trade for someone with a big injury risk, but it's Albert. Does anybody think that I should withhold on trying to acquire him? Or after him seeing him play, is he safe?

Honestly, I think you picked a very bad time to buy into Albert. He is mashing the ball, has looked healthy and hasn't been given too many days off yet. 2 weeks ago you could have got him for a discount, but I think now you'll need to pay full price... whether anything has changed in the last 2 weeks and he is even worth full price is another question.

I agree. You're going to have to wait until he cools a bit to try to nab him at a discount price. I'm not too worried about the elbow. I think his production will, at minimum, match last year, though I personally believe it will be a fair bit higher.

Tru dat. The time to make a move on Pujols was during ST when there was all that hype about his injury. The window has closed. You'll be paying 90 percent of full value. IMO, that's too expensive to justify the still-present injury risk.
