1st Timer in a Huge 14 Team H2H League!

Postby Merlin401 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 11:40 am

Hey guys, I haven't played fantasy baseball before but I'm in an interesting custom league with 14 teams and 26 players per team. Most of the obvious people are long since taken. But I'd appreciate any suggestions to help me out. I'm 1-1 to start the year, but with some of the injuries that I have you can see that I should be better soon....

First off weird stats: AB, Hits, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, Runs, BB, Steals, Avg
Then for pitching really weird: Innings, Appearences, Wins, Ks, ERA, Saves

C- Posada (backup: JR Towles)
1B- Helton (backup: Giambi)
2B- Figgins (backup: Yunel Escobar, Lopez)
SS- Rollins (backup: Yunel Escobar)
3B- A. Ramirez (backup: Escobar)
OF-M. Ordonez
OF-Granderson
OF-C. Hart
UTIL- ultimately will be Yunel Escobar when everyone is healthy
BACKOUT OF: Milton Bradley & Bowker & Figgins if necessary

When I'm finally healthy I think that's a killer lineup in a 14 team league. My pitching staff is focused on quantity. I dont mind losing ERA

Spots are SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P

Starters:
1-Matsuzaka
2-Gallardo
3-Cueto
4-Oliver Perez
5-Marcum
6-Lilly (benched for now)
7-W. Rodriguez-DL (home starts)
8-Wakefield (for wins)

Relief:
1-Lidge
2-Gagne
3-Chad Cordero
4-T. Jones
5-Acosta (just dropped Accardo to get him)

So what advice you got. Injuries already to Granderson, Gallardo, Lidge, Cordero, Rollins, Posada but I'm slowly getting healthy!
