Baseball tonight reported that he had this same Hip thing 8 years ago...and it wasnt a big deal then, it sorta just came was annoying & went.

based on that, im less worried

What do you mean, if anything I'd be more worried. Essentially this means he has had 8 More years of wear and tear on that hip. I don't see this ending good. Got a bad feeling.

I was trying to remember where I'd seen these sentences strung together before, when it hit me ... In roughly 200+ Rich Harden threads.
I'm sure this will turn out much better, though.

I forget where I read it but supposedly Bedard said that his hip didn't feel as bad this time as it did when it bothered him all those years ago.

I would be buying low at this point. Nothing indicates that this is going to be serious. You have one blog talking about hip degeneration and arthritis and everyone buys into it. Yet that person who say they are a doctor are basing everything off of wild speculation. The guy is 29 and people are acting as if he needs a hip replacement. People say he has no trade value are are dumping him for nothing. I wish I was in your leagues.

If you were the Mariners wouldn't you play it safe, DL him for a week or two and try and get it out of the way. Once it dies down he should be fine. And you will look pretty stupid for giving him away for nothing. I mean they just traded away a lot for this guy, I wouldn't take any chances either.

All this talk comparing him to Harden is ridiculous.

I don't know what to think anymore. Before I read this blog I thought it was minor and he would be out a week or 2. After reading that he might have aseriuos hip problem I am concerned. I am going to hold onto him for now but with Lackey and Kazmir on the DL I can only wait so long.
