glad I avoided him in all my drafts

You're def not going to get any value for him right now. If you even get someone like Vazquez, as the other poster said, I personally would pull the trigger.

Otherwise hold on to him and hope for the best. I'm not very optimistic myself. :~(

I just sent out two trade offers for him. One for Soria and Matsuzaka. The other for Carlos Pena and Vazquez. I see this hip issue landing him on the dl again, only longer. He's supposed to make a start on the 24th, but I won't hold my breath. Just a gut feeling, but I want to deal him before his stock drops rock bottom. I may look back and have to surgically remove my foot from my mouth, but I doubt it.
I gruntle the disgruntled.

you're giving up waaaay too much there for bedard. just keep your players and wait to see how serious bedard's injury is first.

I think he has Bedard and is trying to unload him. Not trade for him.

Interesting read, I actually brought up a similar point in another read regarding Bedard's throwing motion (very dependent on hip rotation, he turns his back to the hitter).

Yes, I own Bedard and think I should sell low.

It's a 5x5 ROTO and here is my staff, who should I target for my Bedard?

Bedard
Sabathia :-o
Harang
Snell
D Lowe
Arroyo

I have Maddux filling in for Hip boy.

id def HOLD him at this point...unless u can get near same value.

Baseball tonight reported that he had this same Hip thing 8 years ago...and it wasnt a big deal then, it sorta just came was annoying & went.

based on that, im less worried

I really doubt that anyone will trade anything of use for him at this point. I'm not even going to try. While I'm sure there are a lot of dimwits out there I have to assume they can read - which is all they have to do when you propose a trade involving Bedard.

The Mariners are contributing to what is amounting to hysteria surrounding this injury by being completely non-specific about what it is. Just today I've heard the full range of speculation from "it's minor - he'll definitively start on April 24 (per this mysterious "AP Report")" to a degenerative hip condition a la Bo Jackson that I read out in the blogosphere.

Given that he hasn't pitched very well when he's been able to, I'm pretty confident that either way I - along with all of you other sad-sack Bedard owners out there - am fuc@ed.

That said, I'm holding onto him until we find out what the hell is going on. He has "0" trade value presently

Isn't everyone freaking out a little, he said he had something similar in the past and it faded and didnt come back. I think he will be fine.

just for the sake of conversation, if he had it before, and now he has it again, doesn't that mean it did come back? i realize it might have taken years, but who's to say that it won't be a bigger problem now, something that begins to occur more and more often
