What do u think of this team i am in 7th right now. I dnt know if i trust lugo at short but i want him mainly for steals but that hasnt come yet. Should i improve pitching or upgrade shortstop or anywhere else?

In a short 8 team league you can certainly do better at Catcher and SS. Not sure if you just love Sox or what, but I just had to smack my brother to his senses for holding out on Lugo.. look, even in his best year he wasnt a viable fantasy option, especially in your league, and hey, I love the Sox... of the Red color..he's the epidemy of Rally Killer.. drop him before he takes your team down.

So there you go, you probably got better in AVG right there.

So yeah, you need some heat at SS.. i bet ya Rafael Furcal is still out there, he'd be leaps and bounds better than Lugo. If not, try out the new talk of the town Ryan Theriot.. hey, anything's better than Lugo. If you need the speed (and you do) then you might think about stashin a Michael Bourne or a Tradin for Chone Figgins. In fact, i'd trade off one of your 1B's and try to go get that speedy little bastid. Or just be prepared to get smoked in SB's every week... cuz Sizemore alone wont cut it.

Also, Pierstinksky has got to go. He's useless even in a 14 team league. Surely there's some better C's out there:

Soto
Napoli (at least he knows what a HR is)

just... just kick him to the curb..


Ok, now that you're upgraded at SS and C... let's look at your Staff

You'll probably experience some ups and downs with your staff (except for probably peavy) but in a Roto league, it's really not about that. The guys that are doing well (Peavy, Marcum) should continue and guys that are strugglin (CC, Carmona, Hill) should come around. Lacky will be back to help drop that ERA and Blanton won't kill ya.... i'd say your Staff should be fine for the year....

So, yeah... get those stat killers outta there and you should be rockin.
