I start even thinking about it in the 15th round, if it's a good 12 team league and the options are starting to get real thin.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
The problem with Griffey is that theres no middle ground its either all or nothing there chance of him putting up .290-30-95 its either gonna be .210-5-19 or .320-55-120, i'd take a chance on him in the last couple of rounds.
I root for Griffey because a healthy, successful Junior is nothing but positive for the game of baseball. When he's right, that swing is one of the most beautiful things you'll see. He's such a charismatic hitter that if he got healthy and got on a roll, he could vault back into the national public favor and be one of baseball's posterboys again.
With all that said however, I won't touch him until the late late rounds of my draft.
i have drafted him the last 3 years and gotten burned every year. each year going into spring training he is 100% healthy and then he'll hit 17 homeruns in spring training and lead the majors. i'll be pumped and then no sooner than 2 months into the season he goes out with *insert anything from a hangnail, missing arm, torn something, too tired to play...injury*. i've already gone 3 years and not gotten that career year that i've been waiting for. why should i stop now? i'd be livid if he blows up and i let him slip away. don't worry, i won't touch him before around 15. i'm not that dumb.
oh ya, by the way, i live in cincinnati so he's the only reason that we would ever want to see the reds play. the reds suck (i'm from pittsburgh so i don't like them).
