with the additions of colon and escobar how do you rank the pitchers, i would think the addition of vlad means more run production which will lead to the pitchers having some help and a nice contending team...percival may have another big year...
but again, in the overall 4 catagories who's #1,2,3,4,and 5...
my guess colon, washburn, escobar, ortiz, then lackey right...?
but my gut tells me its washburn that will have the best in wins/era/whip possiblly...

This may be homerism at it's best, but I am realistic. Washburn I see to have a big year that is comparable to 2002. He got hurt in Spring Training last year (throwing shoulder) and I think it hung around all year and bothered him. When an injury occurs to your throwing arm it will stick with you. I also think that now he will face most of the other teams 2-3 starters and not their Ace's and this should also help his numbers.
For the record I think Lackey is going to have a very solid year. He got off to a horrid start, but he did start opening day and was our "Ace" for the first couple of weeks and I think that was a big mistake. In the 2nd half he put up pretty good numbers and rebounded. I think he is poised for a 12+ win season with an ERA around 3.5
I think the rotation will go Colon, Washburn, Escobar, Ortiz and Lackey....and I do agree Washburn should put up some very good numbers this year....I really like the Angels chances in the west this year...

in the draft for a mixed league, i look at colon then draw a big red line and touch nothing else from the angels staff. they are so wishy washy, who the hell knows what your gonna get from that staff. there are many more proven and reliable options out there, that are of the same standard.
