is he an ideal buy low right now?
I seem to remember he was also awful this time last year.
so was cano and he turned it around bigtime. then again, andruw jones stayed horrible all year and if i had a buck for every time someone in april, may, june said "it's a contract year, be patient/don't panic." we'll see which category tulo falls into....
He may "turn it around" but how much of a turnaround are we talking here? Equal to last year's stats? Or will he have a worse year?
Last year: (.291 BA, 24 HR, 99 RBI, 104 R, 7 SB) Is a Miggy Tejada-like .285 25 HR, 105 RBI's fair? Is he still after Hanley, Reyes, and Rollins? I'm shopping JRoll and wondering if he's an "adequate" replacement or if he's a sophomore bust.
Hi, I'm Troy McClure! You might remember me from such nature films as "Earwigs: Ewwww" and "Man vs. Nature: The Road to Victory."
I think he'll turn it around and hit something like .290 with 25 HR. The problem with trying to buy low on a guy like Tulo is that the owner is generally too invested into him to give up, even long after it's obvious he's a bust. Most people reached and picked Tulo earlier than they should have anyway. Combine the fact that he was probably the owner's 4th round pick with the fact that he probably doesn't have any other viable SS option, and he's going to go down with the ship before he lets him go.
