Also consider that he had a two hitter through 7. If the pen hadn't had to pitch a lot of innings the game before and suck so far this season, they would have yanked V sooner-like the first walk in the 8th.

I love Verlander....he's got crazy good stuff. I think his problem is still his control and I'm not neccessarily talking about actual walks, even though those need to be put in check, but just having too many mistakes out over the plate. I still like him but like Cain he can be frustrating to own.
