this is a post from another thread but refers to Swisher...

I'm taking the chance and starting him today, but only because the circumstance makes it ok. I have Figgins at 3B and a starting OF of Holliday/Rios/Swisher, however Swisher is not playing today and my backup CF/RF players are Michael Bourn (playing poorly) and Johnny Damon (playing poorly). So I'm moving Figgins to CF. GO EVAN GO

Swisher is not playing today 4/12? Source?

That was my post, and it came straight from Yahoo:

Apr 12 OF Nick Swisher was held out of the starting lineup because of a hip flexor but was used as a pinch-hitter later in the game. According to manager Ozzie Guillen, Swisher will be held out of Saturday's start as well, with the hope that he can start on Sunday in the series finale. The injury was caused by Swisher's reckless play in the outfield throughout the first week. "Yeah, I'm with Ozzie on this one -- taking a day off to get (healthier)," Swisher said.

My thoughts EXACTLY...
Yeah, yeah, innocent until proven guilty but all players are under suspicion during the Bud Selig era. Maybe Swisher wasn't juicing the last couple of years but you have to wonder, especially because he was in the Bay area. Throw in the fact that he's Steve Swisher's son and you wonder how he could do it without PEDs. }:-)
Then again, maybe his mom is an incredible athlete. :-D

He hit a solo shot last night but was still only 1-4 with a K. Sox play 22 of their next 30 at home so if he is ever going to hit it will be now.

So any one hang on to him? In his last 7 games: 11-26, 4HR, 10 RBI most recently batting out of the 7-hole. Most importantly, only 2 K's in that stretch.

Drafted him and have held all along in a very DEEP league, albeit on my bench for the past 1 1/2 months. Started him yesterday and today.
This morning in a smaller roster league he was dropped. I will put in a claim as I can use that 1B/OF eligibility in a yahoo roto league.

While I don't blame those of you who dropped him for a better option, perhaps now is the time to grab him back if he is still available.

I haven't dropped him all season. Been playing him most days, in fact. Now's the time it pays off ;-D
