SS Sleepers

Postby pizzaboy76 » Sat Apr 12, 2008 11:44 am

I'm currently stuck with Bartlett as my SS. I'm in a 16 team league, so the pickings are thin on the waiver wire. Who are some sleeper candidates at the SS position that might not be on someones roster?

I hate to say it, since he's bound to be injured, but when he's healthy, Bobby Crosby could produce.

I wouldn't give up on bartlett just yet. I could still see him getting his 30 steals, and that's what you drafted him for.

I second Crosby. He's burnt owners so many times that he's not getting attention.

Led the A's with four homers in Spring Training, hitting .326 so far, apparently has made adjustments to his timing that are paying off.

His injury history is almost as sordid as Harden's, but I see him as a dark horse for Comeback Player of the Year with a little good health.

Why is he so far under the Cafe radar?

If Yunel Escobar is still available in your league, definitely pick him up. I am not sure about his pt for the entire season, but Jeff Keppinger is starting right now and could be of some help in the short term.

Well that's just like, your opinion man.

I'll mimic a couple of the above posters and say Bobby Crosby. I picked him up off my WW following a different player's injury, and I'm definitely happy with the pickup.

I like Asdrubal Cabrera as far as sleepers go.

Crosby has looked solid so far and what do you know another homer today.

Thanks for this one. My league is 16 deep with a lot of active managers. Wood is actually the only one mentioned that is not taken. I have some extra SP and will grab and hold him for now.
