Apr 11 The Rays are expected to call up Longoria in time for Saturday night's game against Baltimore, the Tampa Tribune reports.
Recommendation: Willy Aybar (hamstring) may be headed to the DL, and Longoria was scratched just before Friday night's game at Triple-A Durham. In addition, the Tribune reports "a person familiar with the situation" at Durham has confirmed Longoria's imminent callup. Longoria would likely immediately take over as the Rays' starting third baseman. After an 0-for-14 start at Durham, Longoria had been on a 5-for-11 streak through Thursday. Stand by to potentially activate Longoria ASAP in keeper leagues.
