I hate Ticketmaster

I hate Ticketmaster

This morning I was trying to buy Pearl Jam tickets for the 2 MSG shows in NY. They go on sale at 10:AM, so around 9:59, I hit refresh about 10 times so I can jump on the page as soon as they go on sale.

About the 10th time, I get a message indicating that they are locking me for several minutes because I refreshed the page too many times and they want to prevent abuses of the system by using computers to reload the page....

So I get locked out for 10 minutes, and when I get back in, all tickets are sold out. Couldn't they have warned me after I hit refresh a few times? I've been waiting for these tickets to go on sale for weeks.... :-C

sucks...i usually just watch my cell phone and as soon as it hits 10:00 i hit refresh really quick.

there's always Stub-Hub or E-bay...or the old "we need two" method

i'm not 100%, but it seems like these days you can just google "[insert event here]" and "presale" and find a presale password nowadays

I thought Pearl Jam refused to use Ticketmaster for their shows.

:-b reminds me of a line my buddy used about a hot* yet prudish girl back in HS around the same timeframe "she's harder to get into than a Pearl Jam concert"

*she was a bit thickish but real pretty face and huge juggs
