Posada's pretty solid every year, but Piazza has been the stud catcher for the past years. After last year, is he still king? Does he command a round 2-3 pick?

Piazza is listed at number 8 or 9 on Sporting News. He'll probably be better than that, but I doubt he'll go as one of the top 3 catchers (probably IRod, Posada, and Javy).
Piazza is a roto fav of mine. Remaining healthy and playing part time 1B will send his numbers, for a catcher, through the roof. He will be a draft day priority for me. One may be able to get him in a slightly later round because of the low ranking. I’m not sure I’d want to risk waiting to pull the trigger though.
I've got Posada at #1. Piazza is in the top 3, but I wouldn't grab him until at least the 4th-5th round.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
One reason is that when he is not Catchering he will probably be DH. This will give him more AB than most Catchers. He will drop in HR because of Detroit's park but he is a gap hitter which will help him with all the room in the room in Detroit. I still think Posada is the number 1 catcher with Pudge right on his tail and Piazza right there too. Piazza is still in the top three!
I know that I'm going against majority opinion here, but I'm not sure that Piazza is the #1 catcher on the Mets anymore (for fantasy purposes, natch). I just think he's too old and becoming too much of an injury risk. Sure, he's still got the ability but I'm not sold that he can stay healthy.
